Here she is, my 1968 BMW 2002... though not much from
'68 remains, as all six owners went nuts with modifications... including
me! Presently the car has a strong M10 engine and the following
mods:
- 1976 engine block

- 9.5:1 compression ratio

- Tii mechanical advance distributor
- Pertronix point-less electronic ignition
- Dual 40mm Mikuni/Solex side draft carbs
- RamFlo air filters
- Electric fuel pump and new 3/8" steel fuel line from
tank to carbs
- AFPR
- Stahl header
- 80 Amp alternator
- Three row radiator
- Dinan springs
- ST anti sway bars
- Bilstein sport shocks/struts
- BMW E30 "Bottlecap" wheels with 195/65/14 tires
- Tii struts
- Turbo backing plates
- 5 series four pot front calipers w/ turbo rotors
- 320i rear drum brakes
- "Earls" stainless steel braided soft brake lines
- Trunk mounted battery in Stiffy Werks rear brace
- Nardi wood and aluminum steering wheel
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff, but that's how she sits.
I recently picked up a 320i 3.9:1 Limited Slip Differential and
late ('76) rear sub frame. I hope to have it installed soon.
