The long list of parts I have replaced

| Thinking off the top of my head (in no particular order), I have replaced or repaired the following: ü Complete engine refresh (It'll take me a year to recover from that!) ü Replaced all engine sensors at the time of engine rebuild ü Found a low mile Getrag 280 trans to replace my worn to shit 280 ü Added lightened flywheel and clutch ü Replaced clutch soft line, master cyl., slave cyl., and repaired cracked clutch pedal bracket. ü Had drive shaft rebuilt with replaceable "U" joints ü Replaced Guibo and Center bearing ü Installed short shifter ü Replaced every rubber item in the engine compartment ü Replaced alternator ü Replaced radiator ü Replaced the entire interior from a donor M5 ü Installed Schroth four point harnesses ü Replaced brake bomb ü Replaced brake switches on brake high pressure manifold block ü Replaced all rotors with Brembo spin balanced rotors ü Replaced flexible brake lines with Earls stainless lines ü Rebuilt calipers ü Replaced E-brake shoes ü Replaced ABS sensors ü Replaced/cross graded to R134a refrigerant in A/C and replaced compressor. ü Replaced aux. fan and resistor ü Replaced every bushing, tie rod, control arm, ball joint, strut top, wheel bearing etc. ü Replaced steering box ü Installed Dinan stage 3-4 suspension with 1 deg. fixed negative camber plates. ü Replaced struts with new Bilstein Sports ü Added racing dynamics strut brace ü Added E34 M5 Throwing Star wheels (17x8 et20mm offset forged alloy) ü 4 sets of tires in 2.5 years ü Replaced windshield, lock strips, and windshield gasket ü Replaced rear widow gasket and lock strips ü Replaced trunk seal ü Replaced battery ü Installed Euro Headlights and grills ü Rebuilt heater control valve ü Replaced power steering filter ü Replaced head liner on retractable sun roof ü Replaced complete exhaust system including cat converter *I'm in the process of installing Euro bumpers, turn signals (clear lenses), and French fog lights. I think I'll need a new ICV and TPS soon. The half shafts are feeling a little sloppy too. And for the first time I may take it to a local renowned BMW specialist Bill Arnoldve him sync the throttle-bodies. Up until that point I will have been the sole mechanic on this project... I mean car. It's been a fun and rewarding process and I have been fortunate to meet some good people along the way. |
