Macintosh DNS Server Changes

  1. Click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner of your screen and select Control Panels. If you have TCP/IP listed, follow the instructions for New Macs below. If you have MacTCP listed, follow the instructions for Old Macs below.


New Macs:

  1. Click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner of your screen and select Control Panels, and then click on TCP/IP.

  2. In the field that says Name server addr.:, make sure that the numbers read:
    64.40.160.10
    64.40.160.15

    Each set of numbers should be on a new line. If you have any other numbers listed, delete them and replace them with the numbers listed above.

  3. Click on File and select Quit.

  4. Click on the Save button.

  5. Shut down and restart your computer.


    Old Macs:

  1. Click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner of your screen and select Control Panels. Click on MacTCP.

  2. Click once on the PPP icon so that it is highlighted.

  3. Click on More.

  4. Look for the section called Domain Name Server Information: at the bottom of the window. Under Domain, type in svn.net. In the two boxes below that, enter a single period (.). Under IP Address, enter 64.40.160.10 in the first and second boxes. In the third box, enter 64.40.160.15. In the Default column, click the first circle.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Close the MacTCP window.

  7. Shutdown and restart your computer.
