Windows 95/98 DNS Server Changes

  1. Double click on My Computer on your desktop.

  2. Double click on Dial-up Networking

  3. With your right mouse button, click on the icon representing your connection to SVN. (This is usually called SVN or Silicon Valley North) This will pop up a menu. Click on Properties, which is the very last item on the menu.

  4. Click on the Server Types tab at the top of the window.

  5. Click on the TCP/IP Settings button.

  6. If you currently have Specify name server addresses selected, delete any numbers that may be in the Primary DNS: and Secondary DNS: fields, and then click in the small circle next to Server assigned name server addresses. (When it is selected, the small circle next to it will have a black dot in the center.)

  7. Click OK, and then click OK again to close the Properties window.

  8. Shut down and restart your computer.
