Windows XP DNS Server Changes

  1. Click on the Start menu and select Control Panel.

  2. Click on Network and Internet Connections.

  3. Click on Network Connections in the lower right corner of the window. (Network Connections is found under the heading or pick a Control Panel icon, as shown below)


  4. Click on the icon for SVN with your right mouse button and select Properties from the menu that appears.

  5. Click on the Networking tab.

  6. Click once on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) so that it becomes highlighted.

  7. Click on the Properties button.

  8. Click on Obtain DNS server address automatically. The boxes for Preferred and Alternate DNS servers should now be grayed out, as shown below.


  9. Click OK to close the Internet Protocol Properties box, and then click OK again to close the SVN Properties box.

  10. Shut down and restart your computer.

  11. You have now updated your DNS server information.
