Communicator 4.0.x E-mail Configuration

1. Refer to the images below. Screens for the Windows version are shown but the information applies to the Mac version as well. If any of the images are not identical to your screen, enter the information in the corresponding fields.

2. Where 'username' and 'username@svn.net' appear in this document, use your username and not the word 'username'.

   ---

3. Select Edit, Preferences, Mail & Groups, Identity.

4. Enter your real name as you would like it to appear in the Your name: field.

5. Enter your email address in the Email address: field.

6. Select Mail Server.

7. Enter your username in the Mail server user name: field. Your username does not include @svn.net.

8. Enter mail.svn.net in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: field.

9. Enter mail.svn.net in the Incoming Mail Server: field.

10. For more options, Click More Options.

11. Here you can specify your mail checking interval and whether or not Netscape should remember your password.

12. Click OK to close More Options.

    

13. Click OK to close Preferences.
