Thank you for your
interest in the Public Retirement Journal.
What is the Journal?
The Journal, which is printed monthly, provides a very timely
source of valuable information and insight into public retirement,
health care and related benefits.
The Journal seeks out, and interviews, those people shaping public
retirement policy and helps our readers understand just what they
have planned in this field.
Recent interviews have include Dr. Kathleen Connell, the California
State Controller; Matt Fong, the California State Treasurer; Kurato
Shimada, a member of the PERS Board of Administration and Chair of
the PERS Health Benefits Committee; Dwight Stenbakken, Legislative
Director of the League of California Cities; and Sheryl Pressler,
the PERS Chief Investment Officer.
In addition, we regularly have articles which address current
health care and retirement issues. For instance, a recent lead
articles dealt with the question of how to best provide retirement
coverage for part-time employees.
The subscription price is $195 per year.
