Skin Diver

NAUI Skin Diver is an entry level recreational snorkeling certification program. This program is designed for water adventurers with an average level of comfort in their swimming skills. The curriculum has the proper balance of emphasis on diving skills, safety and knowledge. This provides for the practical experience necessary to enjoy safe, independent underwater adventures with a skin diving partner. It begins with a series of informative class sessions, snorkeling in a swimming pool and is completed with two exciting snorkeling dives off the beautiful Northern California Coast. After successfully completing the NAUI Skin Diver program, graduates will have earned a skin diving certification respected throughout the world. Prerequisites Skin Diver at least 10 years of age Junior Skin Diver 8 years of age Diving physical examination Personal Snorkeling Equipment needed for the pool sessions; This is personal equipment that cannot be rented Mask and snorkel Fins Boots Gloves Weight belt and weights Weight belt keepers Equipment needed for the ocean sessions; The personal snorkeling equipment needed for the pool sessions are also needed in the ocean. The following snorkeling equipment may be rented or purchased for the ocean sessions. Float Tube Wet suit and hood Other Equipment useful while snorkeling; Dive knife and gear bag Tuition; NAUI Skin Diver - $99.00 NAUI Junior Skin Diver(class and swimming pool only) -$75.00 "Easy Scuba Experience" Is a free introduction to Scuba Diving included in the Skin Diver Program.
